Death Takes a Holiday

- Seven Campfires
Where Piers Anthony targeted the teen and older readers, Imari Jade has crafted a wonderful tale appealing to the young adult, where love and sexuality are being discovered and the reader along with the characters live forever in happily ever after.

Death Takes A Holiday is a wonderfully fun and erotic tale by Imari Jade. From the first scene Ms. Jade takes readers on a lesson in mythology that is at times laugh out loud and at others will leave you with your panties wet. Thantos is a passionate man whose determination to claim Rianna makes him a wonderful character. I loved his connection with Rianna and the way he interacts with the other Immortals. Rianna is witty and sassy, fully capable of holding her own with the Immortals. The sexuality in this story is out of this world. There is an erotic scene where Rianna is bathed and tended to by several women and, while female/female scenes are not normally my cup of tea, I have to say, this one really worked for me, which just proves to me what wonderful talent Imari Jade possesses. The action is fast paced and well written. Death Takes A Holiday will be on my bookshelf for reading over and over.

I really loved the way the author mixed Greek mythology with Christian characters. The Three Fates exist right along with the angels Michael and Gabriel, and it works really well. Rianna and Thantos are both likable characters with a lot of sexual chemistry. I loved Thantos’ relationship with the Fates. Rianna’s abduction adds a bit of suspense to the tale. The love scenes are very erotic and well written and the author’s descriptions of the three worlds make it very easy to put yourself in the picture. This story is a great deal of fun to read and very hard to put down.

A Christmas to Remember is a wonderfully charming holiday tale that will captivate the reader. Ms. Jade has created very endearing characters that the reader will have the reader wanting more. Jacinda and Sebastian each have sexual issues to face and find the acceptance and love they are looking for in one another. I really enjoyed how Sebastian and Jacinda were able to face their fears to find the loving relationship they were looking for. I look forward to reading more from Ms. Jade.

I thought A Christmas to Remember was a great story. The storyline was very interesting and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. The author wrote very interesting backgrounds for each character. You don’t read many books where the heroine has a sex toy fetish! The only problem I had with this story was the ending. The book did not have a rushed feel to it until the very end. I thought that the author was just trying to get the story finished and did not elaborate on the ending at all. I would have liked to have read about the main character’s a little bit more. I also though the therapist in the story was not a believable character, she seemed a bit odd towards the end. All in all, I thought that this was a very good book and I would read another book by this author.

A Christmas to Remember is just that; a wonderful story that you will remember. This story has humor, and is told so well that it is over almost as soon as it begins. This is a great heartwarming tale of friends who became lovers and the path they chose to follow to get there. I absolutely adored the meddling mothers!

A Christmas To Remember is such a fun story! Jacinda’s sex toy collection would make any single woman proud and her mother just cracked me up! Sebastian’s issues with his penis seems like a problem men would love to have but Imari Jade shows the seriousness of it. Jacinda and Sebastian dance around each other for most of the book and when they come together in passion the scene is incredibly hot. I very strongly recommend reading A Christmas To Remember.

A ROSE BY ANY OTHER NAME by Imari Jade - Keisha's live-in mooch lover Maceio has fooled around for the last time on Keisha. As with many anthologies, these stories are short and tasty and since I don't want to give anything away I kept each line short on purpose. That sweet feeling when wrongs are put right is so well portrayed in this anthology. The compilation was perfect, very nice. If you, like me, enjoy good contemporary stories, this book is perfect for your ToBeBought list. Overall rating:
